Dr. Belinda Hays, PT, DPT

Owner/President and Doctor of Physical Therapy

A native of Seymour, Indiana, Dr. Belinda Hays founded Progressive Physical Therapy in 1987 with the goal of providing quality physical therapy services to patients in rural areas with limited access to physical therapy providers. With over 40 years of clinical practice, Dr. Hays is a 1981 graduate of Indiana University, earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. Belinda attained her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from the EIM Institute of Health Professions in 2010.

Belinda is committed to providing compassionate, quality care to patients with various needs of rehabilitation. She believes that it is not only important to assist patients in treating their symptoms, but also giving the patients the resources they need to commit to ongoing physical health and wellness.

Belinda has developed special expertise in the areas of orthopedics, spine rehabilitation, post-surgical rehabilitation, ergonomics analysis, and work injury management and prevention. Belinda has certifications in the Astym® system and DSI Work Solutions FCAs, Functional Job Descriptions and Analysis, and Post-Offer Work Screens. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and has served on many committees, nationally and statewide. She is a member of the Indiana APTA and has served as a past Membership Chair and a past Board of Directors Member. She is also a past board member of the Indiana Worker’s Compensation Institute and continues to be an active member of IWCI.

Belinda resides in Seymour, IN. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching her twin grandchildren, caring for her “furbaby” cats and dog, walking, and reading.
